2do not recommend but gave it to someone shorter who likes it
By Christoph E. Mottes
I'm 5'11" This has a very short stride length that to me felt like shuffling my feet back and forth and I did not get a good workout. (I've since bought a $400 Gold's Gym one that gets my HR to 140+ like at the gym, but this one I got about 90). Also, while main pieces are made of steel, the joints are poor, it wobbled and one piece broke on assembly - when assembling, the seat pole did not fit into base, and upon trying to apply mild pressure to get it in, the interior plastic meant to hold the seat pole broke loose, went into the base and now prevents the seat from sliding any lower than the highest position. During very first use, the screw holding on the left arm (which I'm a guy and tightened well) fell off. I screwed it in again, this time about as hard as I could turn it, it was loose already during next use. I'm about 200 lbs and without question this thing also wobbles and has a wobbly feel. So to me the short stride length, weak joints and overall poor workout make this a no go. I was going to throw it out but I gave it to a friend who is 5'5" and she is ok with the stride length. Not that she says it is great, but she's using it and it's ok. So I've amended my review to 2 stars and I guess if you can't afford $400 and are 5'5" or less you can get some kind of workout but I still would not recommend it. The $400 Gold's Gym one gives a great workout and is so much more sturdy and quiet with no wobble it is far superior. I'd just highly recommend spending the extra money for that.

3Good for the price - Maybe
By Cassandra M. Alls
I've been using this machine just about every day for the past two weeks and I found it very easy to put together (very clear step by step instructions and all the nuts and bolts were clearly labeled and packaged). As it is stated in the instruction manual, this is strictly for home use and the bolts require inspection and tightening monthly. However, now that I have been using it for a couple of months, the machine now makes a terrible sqeaking noise that I have not been able to rectify (unless I pedal backwards!!!!) I haven't taken the wheel base apart yet, as I'm not that mechanical. My next step is to call the manufacturer. I really can't afford a more expensive machine right now, but will seriously contemplate that for the future.

1NOT a good buy!!!!!!

This machine is just a waste of precious money!!! Workout quality is very poor on this machine , strides are ridiculously short, and on mine, the arm kept coming loose with each pull that i had to stop frequently to tighten the knob/screw. I just had to return it before it caused me any more problems. I was really disappointed, Save your money!!
