Great for the money!!

PEOPLE, PLEASE READ THE REVIEWS FOR THE ELLIPTICAL OR ANY PRODUCT THAT YOU ARE SPECIFICALLY LOOKING AT!! I say this because the purpose of a review is to help you with the product you are looking at. If people are comparing an inferior and lower end product to a higher, more quality made/parts product the review does you no good. Please investigate the company, but don't let someone tell you their experience from a totally different model than what you are looking at. You don't compare cars that are in different classes, nor should you anything else. This is my opinion, but believe the purpose of a review is to help me with a specific product.

I have owned my own personal training business for many years now. I have researched, used, and helped many clients buy their own cardio pieces. As with many things, you get what you pay for. Each company has high-end and low-end products to accommodate budgets. I don't agree with people offering reviews on the company as a whole if they purchased a low-end product and expect the quality of a higher one. That being said, I have had no issues with Proform as a residential provider of fitness equipment. The 510e I found is excellent product for the money. It has many presets, high resistance levels, and easy way to adjust degrees on stride length. It went together as it should. As with most things, it just takes patience to assemble. I used it for a very long time with no issues and served its purpose well. I trust proform enough that I upgraded to the Proform 18.0 RE Elliptical for my residence and really enjoy it with no issues. I hope this helps. Be fair on these reviews and keep in mind price points.

ProForm Ellipticals do not last and fall apart in literally weeks.

My brother and I both purchased ProForm Elliptical machines, and mine broke down within 3 weeks, and his within 6 weeks. The frame weld on the side of my machine literally snapped, and I am only a 205 lb guy. He is a 175 lb guy and his only lasted 6 weeks with multiple problems. After the machines break down, expect to spend hours on the phone with Icon submitting pictures, and trying to get them to actually pick up the phone and fix the problem. I would never by a ProForm product again in my life, and neither would my brother. Hopefully this review helps one person avoid our pain.

Good machine, some fixable problems

A solid machine. Due note, the plastic coverings, especially the one covering the incline ramp are noisy. I highly recommend taking it off beforehand.. Make sure to lube every moving part heavily, I thought they were being generous with the packets of lube. Please use them. Another thing to mention,I had several screw coverings blocked by metal slag. I used a screw driver and dumbbell to knock the slag off. Some of the plastic came cracked, not a big deal as it was an aesthetic piece. Everything came like it should have. No extra or missing pieces. Runs quietly and the monitor is easy enough to understand and clearly read.
